 1885 - 1978. Artist, he sometimes did set designs for ballet (Lydia Lopokova) Born in Rothiemurchus, Scotland. Studied at Westminster and Slade Schools, going on to study in Italy and Paris. Joined Roger Fry in the Omega Workshops. Later a member of the London Group. An artist his works were mainly landscapes, but he also designed textiles and pottery. He had spent some of his early years living in the Strachey family. He was also the lover of his cousins Lytton and James Strachey. He met Rupert Brooke at Hillbrow School, which was also attended by James Strachey. Grant was the one member of the Bloomsbury group that he remained friends with for the rest of his life, Duncan was also part of the group that made up Edward Marsh's set along with Harry Norton.
