Born 1848, 2 years older than her husband. Became engaged in the spring of 1879, married on the 18th December 1879 at St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh, her uncle Bishop Henry Cotterill performed the ceremony. Ruth Brooke became Rugby's first woman magistrate. Buried in Clifton Road Municipal Cemetery. |
