1887-1982. Went to school at Rugby and Cambridge University with Rupert Brooke. He was a Trustee after Rupert Brooke's death. He Married Margaret Elizabeth Darwin (1890 - 1974) in 1917 they had 4 children, she also wrote A House by the River, and Newnham Grange to Darwin College 1976.. As well as a literary career, he was also a highly skilled doctor and surgeon who also undertook medical research. His autobiography The Gates of Memory 1981 covers both sides of his career. |
