 1886-1916 Arrived in Cambridge in 1905. He was introduced to Rupert Brooke by Hugh Dalton. Ben founded the Fabian Society in Cambridge. He refused a commission and was killed at the Somme during WWI, Brooke's other close friend Hugh Russell-Smith was also killed during WWI.
